Leonard Cortez, 84, of San Antonio, Texas, died on August 5, 2024, at the hospital after complications to replace stents in his heart. He is survived by his wife, Esther Diana Cortez and his daughter Tracy Diane Cortez (Dennis Young), his son, Adam Conrad Cortez, and his daughter, Casey Lonnette Cortez. His grandchildren, Lindsey Dougherty, (Greg), Brittany Cortez, and Jackson Marshall Gonzales. His greatgrandchildren, Liam, Rowan, and River. He was born in 1940 to Stella Bourgeois (deceased) and José "Joe" Cortez (deceased). He dedicated his life to providing for and protecting his family. He was a body builder working with free weights and strength exercises every day, right up to the day he went to the hospital. He was strong and energetic and ready to help anyone in need. He could predict when people would need help before they even knew they were in trouble. He made the world a better place for everyone who crossed his path. His greatest joy and extraordinary accomplishments live on, in the lives he helped bring into this world – his family.
