Jose R Alva was born in Del Rio, TX on March

• 29, 1935. He lived there until he met the love

  of his life and his high school sweetheart,

  Blanca Rodriguez. They married after high

  school and moved to San Antonio, TX where

  they would have three incredible sons, Rick,

  Rene, and Joe. Jose and Blanca would remain

  in San Antonio and continue to show love and

  support to their sons, daughter in laws,

  grandchildren and great grandchild. Jose R

  Alva (Grandpa) was a man of few words but

  he always led by example for his family.

  Grandpa was a man of faith, always putting

  God at the forefront of our family and

  encouraged each of us to continue these

  same values with our own children. We will

  miss you Grandpa but we are glad you are

  0nally reunited with Grandma and God at the

  center as it should be. May God's perpetual

  light shine upon you until we meet again in

  His glory.
