Frank Nino Mendez, Jr.- known as "Popo" went to be with our Lord on Friday, June 7th 2024, at the age of 76. He was born on August 25, 1947 to Frank Sr. and Tomasa Mendez. Frank married the love of his life Yolanda Olga Mendez in 1968, and together they raised five wonderful children.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Yolanda, his parents Frank Sr. and Tomasa, sister Yolanda M. Glenn, grandson Gage Flores and great grandson Jonah Pastrano. He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Marie Medina (Elias), Yvette Michele Siordia (John Edward), Sandra Ann Flores, Valerie Mendez (Joey), son Frank Mendez III (Connie), sister Estella Galindo, 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, many other relatives, and loved ones.

Popo will forever be remembered for his infectious personality, great humor and his unconditional love. He leaves behind countless stories and many special memories to be shared with generations to come.

His spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all that knew him. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 20th, 2024, at Ortiz Mortuary (3114 Culebra Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78228) from 4pm-8pm.
