It is with great sadness and with heavy hearts that we the family of Daria Maria Garcia announce that she has passed away and is now with our Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven.

Daria was a devoted wife, loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was a hard worker that sometimes juggled three jobs at a time while raising four children and keeping up with all their school sports, practices, games, and school functions. She was very well known and liked by all the team members and parents…

Daria retired from The Children's Center and Texas Commission for the blind. But she didn't stop there, she moved into a retirement community where she took over as the Recreational Director and Coordinated all activities, programs, and projects for that community. Her favorite function was taking them to different gambling casinos at least once a month. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Funeral services will begin Thursday, February 15th from 5pm until 8pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6 pm at Ortiz Mortuary, Inc.

A 10am Mass will be held on Friday, February 16th at Holy Rosary Catholic Church family and friends will all meet at the church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery #2.
