Cecilia Martinez passed away at 99 years old on May 17, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born in San Antonio, Texas, on December 23, 1924.

Cecila was the monolith of the Martinez family and made her family a priority. She devoted her life to her God and loved attending church at San Fernando Cathedral. She was also a woman who spent much of her life dabbling in crafts including painting, sewing & embroidery. She was also a nurturer who tended to her garden at the Oakhill Rd. apartments. She will also be remembered for her cooking, especially the potato salad.

She is preceeded in death by her husband, David and is survived by her children, David (Carmen), Alfred (Joann), Hilda (Armando), Delia and Belia, Joe (Dolores), Maria, 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Special thanks to her eldest daughter, Hilda and her husband Armando who cared for her in their home and allowed her to live the last seven years of her life with dignity. Thank you to her children who also assisted in ensuring the best care for her.
