Belen Garcia Alvarado, age,73 of San Antonio, Texas, sadly passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, following a heart procedure this summer. Belen was born December 12,1950 in Mercedes, Texas to Juan D. Garcia and "Ama" Manuela Reyna. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Melba, Dora, and brother, Romeo.

Belen was a compassionate and selfless person who always put others before herself. She worked as cartographer at International Aerial for 13 years. She was devout Catholic and attending St. Dominic regularly and was part of the Altar Society until Covid hit the community. She was a pet lover. She had countless cats and dogs. And all animals delighted her.

She is survived by her husband, Julio Alvarado Jr. and her 5 children, Guadalupe, Julio III, Jennifer, Belinda and Amanda. She had 12 grandchildren, Adrianna, Alicia, Alexandra, Sarah, Mariah, Vanessa, Miranda, Christopher, Kimberly, Tabitha, Justin and Joey. And she also had 9 great-grandchildren, Layla, Lilly, Mason, Antonio, Christopher Jr, Avery, Jeremiah, Bella and Antonio. Her godchildren were Jesse, Guadalupe, and Sophia. She also had a brother, Rodolfo and sister, Felixmer. Her nieces and nephews are Leonardo, Melinda and Cynthia Garcia Vega, Stephanie, Rudy,Johnny Garcia and Jessie and Adam Cervantes

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024, at Ortiz Mortuary Chapel at 3114 Culebra Rd. San Antonio, Texas 78228 at 3pm - 4pm for Family and Public 4 pm - 8 pm.

Rosary will begin at 6:30pm at the Chapel.

Final viewing will be on Thursday 8,2024 from 8am-9:30am at Ortiz Mortuary Chapel. Mass and reception will follow at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5919 Ingram Rd. starting at 10 am.

We will always carry her memory in our hearts.
