It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Armando Sandoval, Jr. on December 15, 2024, at the age of 66. Armando was born July 13, 1958, in San Antonio, Texas. He will be remembered for his vibrant spirit and warm personality. He brought joy to those around him with his quick wit and friendly nature, easily making connections and sharing laughter with family, friends, and acquaintances alike. His love for Christian music and his cherished friendship with Rosa Parra, with whom he shared countless happy moments at the movies, were significant parts of his life. Armando is predeceased by his parents, Armando V. and Antonia Gonzales Lares; and siblings Irma Sauceda, Tendy Mize, Sylvia Lares, Elida De La Rosa, Arturo Lares, Roy Lares, and Henry Lares. He is survived by his biological son with his first wife Sylvia, Daniel Armando Sandoval; daughter, Amanda Sandoval and son, Daniel Armando Sandoval; brothers, Concepcion Lares, Jr. and Juan Flores; sisters, Esther Lares, Susie De La Cruz, Minerva Luna, and Teresa Sanchez; grandson, Ignacio Reyes Sandoval; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will dearly miss him. His memory will be cherished by all that knew and loved him.
