Angelita "Angie" Segovia Sanchez October 04,1951-September 12, 2024, Angelita Segovia Sanchez, lovingly known as Angie, from San Antonio, TX. went to be with our Heavenly Father on September 12, 2024, at the age of 72. She was born on October 4, 1951, to Aurora Esquivel and Angel Sanchez. Angie was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who left an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew her.

She is survived by her two sisters, Sylvia Saldana and Yolanda Hunter, her brother, Ralph S. Esquivel, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Though she never had children of her own, Angie was like a mother to her niece Lisa and her great-nephews Christopher and Eric were the grandchildren she cherished.

A true caregiver at heart, Angie took on the responsibility of caring for her brother with disabilities after the passing of their parents. She was known for her immense generosity, always opening her heart and home to those in need, often offering shelter to those without anywhere to go.

Angie's work ethic was unparalleled. At the young age of 14, she began her career by bussing tables on the San Antonio Riverwalk. She found her passion working at KFC, where she became a manager and consistently outperformed expectations. She ended her professional journey at Walmart, retiring after 25 dedicated years. She was an excellent cook and taught her niece how to make various dishes. She also enjoyed bringing home cooked meals to her coworkers at Walmart.

Angie's family and friends remember her as a selfless, hardworking, and caring woman who gave everything to those she cared for. She would text daily with friends and family checking in on them and they on her. She grew up in church and Loved the Lord with all her heart and soul and you would always find K-Love playing on her car radio or TV.

Two years ago, Angie was diagnosed with a meningioma. She bravely battled radiation treatments, but it took a significant toll on her health. The treatments weakened her body, and, in the end, her heart couldn't take it. She passed peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by the love she had given so generously throughout her life. Her presence, funny jokes, generosity and words of wisdom will be deeply missed.

She had always wished to travel once she retired, but as her health declined, she was too sick to make any of the trips. One of the places she wanted to go to was Corpus Christi, TX. but most importantly a trip to Portland TX. to enjoy an ocean view at her niece's house. Though she never got the chance to go, we know her spirit is free to go anywhere now.

We scattered some of her remains in the ocean with our immediate family as we gathered together to honor her.

We will not have any further funeral services as those were her wishes. RIP Beautiful Angie and keep visiting us in our dreams.
